About Congress

Japan Cello Society, chairman Tsuyoshi Tsutsumi (cellist, the president of Suntory Hall), will have Asia Pacific Cello Congress 2020 from February 7 till February 9, 2020 at Suntory Hall. It will be three days for all cello lovers from all generation, both professionals and amateur players, to listen, to learn, to play and to educate. Almost three hundreds cellists get together, play together in various programs. We will have not only concerts to listen, but also master classes and workshops for small children. At the final concert, named Cello Grand Concert, one hundred forty cellists will fill the stage of Suntory Hall to conclude the Congress.

About Master class Following professors will have master classes. 

For those who aim to receive a lesson, please write an e-mail to office@cello.or.jp by January 10th.
You need to clarify:
Participant’s name/ mail address / date of birth / length of cello experience / name of your Cello teacher
Your arrival date and time to Tokyo / departure date and time.
Notes:
Name of the piece to have a master class * maximum length of master class will be 60 minutes, in case of a long piece, it may be for a part of it.
Master class fee: free (if you need an accompanist, please arrange by yourself. Your transportation and accommodation should be arranged by yourself)
Due to the limited capacity, you cannot name the professors.
Please be aware not the all expectation will be filled.
The lesson will be conducted in English.

Cello Grand Concert consists from three parts:
The First Part: Junior Cello Orchestra, young cellists of Suzuki Method and Japan Cello Society play together.
